Composite Balustrade Handrail

The handrail is the rail that runs along the top of a balustrade — the part you actually grip. It sits above the spindles, gives the run its finished top edge, and provides the graspable safety rail that guarding is really there for. So buy it on its own when you’re extending a run, replacing a worn or damaged length, or, instead of working from a standard kit, building a balustrade to your own measurements.

Because it’s made from the same composite as our balustrade kit and decking — real wood fibres bound with plastic resin — you get the look and warmth of timber but without the maintenance. So there’s no sanding, no staining and no annual repaint. Instead, a wash with soapy water now and then keeps it right.
